Consolation and Celebration takes a look back at the German cantatas of the 17th century, plumbing the powerful emotions of loss, consolation, and spiritual exultation. The concert will feature Bronwyn Thies-Thompson, a young Canadian soprano on the cusp of a career that holds great promise. Complementing the vocal program will be a selection of German sonatas performed by a trio of musicians.
