Admirably constructed around the plainsong associated with a hymn by Thomas Aquinas and featuring beautiful textural contrasts, it exudes an austere grandeur that nonetheless does not exclude the expression of sustained emotion. It will be sung by four male voices, as it was in Josquin\u2019s day.
