SUMMARY

Beneath the light of a blue-and-red stained glass window, on the worn pew of a London church, 400 years of music vibrate and shimmer. William Byrd and Henry Purcell invite us to a moment of fullness, where inter- woven voices answer the organ, while MacMillan, closer to our time, makes incandescent prayers resonate in modern colours. This dialogue between organ and voices is an invitation to rediscover four centuries of heaven on earth.
