Andrew McAnerney

This year, we are proudly celebrating 50 years of the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal, a symbolic and precious milestone in our history. On the occasion of this anniversary, we’d like to appeal to your generosity to help us realize some forward-looking projects for early music in Canada.

Our ambitions include:

Create the “Espoir du SMAM” scholarship in memory of Christopher Jackson to reward
a talented Canadian student of early vocal music;

Conceive innovative Monteverdi concerts;

Promote our singers in Quebec, Canada and internationally;

Make recordings of unpublished repertoires, enabling works that are not yet available in digital form to see the light of day and shine.

Your support is essential to bring these projects to life! In this jubilee year, we are offering you, for every donation, a gesture of gratitude and, of course, an official tax receipt. What’s more, each donation will enable us to plant a tree in Quebec, helping to preserve our environment for future generations.

Information on donations and the gesture of recognition associated with each amount are at the bottom of this page.

Let’s celebrate this half-century of early music together, and build a harmonious future for generations to come. Many thanks for your invaluable support.
