SUMMARY

For the “Schubertiades”—gatherings of poetry and music fans held in Vienna and the surrounding region—, Schubert wrote several vocal quartets, which he composed with great care and not without a certain moralizing dimension, to romantic texts evoking life’s little joys, love, solitude, the charms and rigors of nature, the final ends, and the power of spirituality.

In collaboration with Bourgie Hall, in the “Schubert Lieder – Year 1” series
